Varanasi: while Chief Minister Mayawati may start checking the development work in the districts in the first week of February, none of the LED units (light-emitting diode)
To date, solar power systems have been installed in any of the Ambedkar villages in the Varanasi and chandauri areas.

It has been given the task of installing 77 solar LED street lamps in 43 units in 14 selected Ambedkar villages in Varanasi and 7 villages in chandauri district.
As NEDA officials pointed out, the delay in the installation of solar street lamp units is mainly due to the delay in the supply of LED systems.
\"We expect the LED units to be supplied in the next few days and we will install them in selected villages immediately,\" said Rajmani y, senior NEDA official at Varanasi, who told TOI on Monday.
Prior to the chief minister\'s inspection, efforts were being made to install the LED unit in the village of Ambedkar, to be disclosed to NEDA sources and to inform that the work would be completed according to the chief minister\'s schedule.
LED solar street light will be installed in SC/ST-

According to the NEDA records, in the Varanasi area, the streets of 14 such SC clusters will be in the Chiraigaon (4), Harahua (4), Araziline (1), Cholapur (3), Baragaon (1)and Sevapuri (1).
Similarly, in the Chandauli district, 7 villages in Barhani (2), Chandauli (2)Chahania (1), Shahabganj (1)and Naugarh (1)
Blocks will be covered by the project.
The work of these villages should be completed in the current financial year.
NADA officials hope to complete the work within the specified time.
However, solar energy is already being used by various government and private institutions in the region.
According to the NEDA authorities, solar energy is used in different parts of the region to heat about 40,000 litres of water per day.
A solar hot water system is installed on the campus of Banaras Hindu University (BHU)
, Mission of Ramakrishna and many hospitals in the city.

Jindaley district in the affected area.
About 200 households in four villages of Ramchandipur, Gobaraha, Rampur Dhab and Mokalpur have been powered on by solar energy.
