I am very fussy about sound quality and am especially sensitive to "tizzy", irritating treble. The good news is that this Tribit speaker definitely does not suffer from that malady. I have listened to music via iHeart app. and spoken word podcasts. Very clean sound with surprising bass for its size. It reproduces a "rich" sound. If I could increase the treble by 20% or so I would, but I would always prefer the smooth, clean response of the Tribit to the typical tipped up treble of such products as those made by Bose. A very nice product for the price!
Bought this at the recommendation of Wirecutter last October. For an under-$40 Bluetooth speaker, this bad boy has surprisingly good sound quality and power. But the real differentiator is customer service. About a month in, the power button stopped working. I figured I’d at least try contacting customer service on their website, expecting a runaround given the price point. Tribit responded within a day, and offered to send me a new one (with a mailer to send back the broken one). Well, the new one started to develop a buzz. Once again, they sent me a replacement. While it’s slightly irritating to have it replaced twice, that’s more than outweighed in my mind by Tribit’s demonstrated commitment to quality and satisfaction. At the end of the day I’m still spending a bit of money on a product I hope to enjoy, and it’s nice to feel like the producer is on the same page. Recommend to everyone!
Sound is OK, enough bass and treble. Correct for the size, even if you listen to classical music. I put a Vieuxtemps' violin concerto on when on my porch yesterday night. Then some country music. Both Great sound! And I forgot to say that my cell and Tribit recognized each other in a heartbeat. The only reservation could be a reduction of volume when I moved the loudspeaker. It happened only once. But of course was easy to compensate. I recommend it, as good as much more expansive bluetooth loudspeakers. I will get another one soon, for a more ample stereo sound, if this Tribit proves durable - which I expect it to be, according to other reviews.
I bought this for a tubing trip down a river. I received these the night before the trip. I charged it overnight and paired it with my phone. This definitely took a healthy dip in the water a few times, and it was pouring rain towards the end of our trip, and the speaker survived all in one piece with no change of sound quality whatsoever. This thing is loud and has AMAZING sound quality for such a reasonable price. This truly is a steal and worth the buy! All my friends want one too now.
Easy to use & really puts out the volume! Also, even things that sound tinny on my laptop sound great on my Tribit. Improves sound quality greatly. I use it on top of my shower wall when showering (to listen to motivational messages), when working around the house (being cordless, it moves easily with me), or any time I just need more volume than my laptop can crank out. You do need to stay within range, of course--in my house, about 20-25 feet (more range in some rooms, less if around corners). It also has a lovely quality of base (without being too much at all), unlike my Bose CD player. Beautiful sound and great power!
I'm glad I bought this - it does the job. The only thing I find irritating is the user interface: The controls look too similar and are easily confused unless I look closely. The volume buttons are going to be hit more than any others so should stand out. Maybe the play/stop button too. Pairing is a rare operation so the pairing button should NOT be next to the on/off or play/pause button. I'd also like forward/backward buttons (either by track or by seconds). If I can find those buttons on most headsets, they belong here too.
I bought this so I could cut down on my headphone use, which I think is damaging my hearing long-term. There are certainly better sounding speakers on the market, though I think it sounds pretty good. I wasn’t looking for high end audiophile equipment anyway. I just wanted something I could use for listening to podcasts that would sound good enough around the house, would be small and portable, would be water resistant, and have decent battery life. I’m very happy with the speaker and it’s become my companion as I do chores and cook. The price was great, too. The only issue I have with it I suspect is more a Bluetooth issue than one with the speaker itself. After using AirPods for the lsat couple of years, I've been spoiled by how easily they pair with different devices. This speaker, like most Bluetooth devices, is finicky about pairing with a second devices when it's been paired with a first. It always works eventually, but just takes some extra effort. This is a minor quibble, however, since I find the product otherwise excellent.
The first speaker I received would not charge. I sent the seller a message and they promptly sent out a replacement without issue. Perfect service. My second speaker charges fine and has a great life. I usually charge it only because it I remember it's been so long since I last did, not because it warms me of low charge. Sound quality is good with nice bass, especially for the size and price. Definetely loud enough for me. The only negative for me is the range of the Bluetooth. I have other speakers that will receive throughout the house when my phone is in my pocket. With this speaker I can't leave the room without it dropping out. Not a huge deal but when I have speakers that are inferior in every other way except Bluetooth range, it makes me wonder if it's just my unit or did they cut corners?
This thing is very small and portable, but provides big sound and battery life that lasts all day. I don't know how they fit so much quality into such a small housing. I also love how durable it is. This thing is made for the outdoors and can withstand trips to the beach or practically anywhere else you decide to go. I found out about this speaker when I was looking up "best bluetooth speaker for the money" and this one was ranked in the top 5. Very glad I did some research before making a purchase.
I'm not getting any money for this and no, I'm not sponsored by the company Tribit. I just love this little speaker so much that I had to share it with everyone. Rarely do I rave about a product I love unless it truly stands out among other items I have purchased in the past. But this little bluetooth speaker is pretty amazing. I've had my laptop for 2 years and I love it. The only complaint I've ever had is that the battery life could be better (but I rarely use battery power) and the audio/speakers are not very good. I finally gave in and decided to buy a speaker that would be small and portable and would have great sound quality and I came across this little guy. For a speaker this size and this price (less than $35) it has amazing sound quality, even at a high volume. Every sound is so crisp and clear and it has pretty decent bass. Apparently, the speaker will work for up to 24 hours on one charge (I haven't tested that part out yet). If you are looking for a low cost but HIGH quality sounding bluetooth speaker, look no further. This little guy is perfect. I'd still be happy with my purchase even if I had spent more than $50.
UPDATE: A Tribit representative emailed me after seeing my review and offered to replace or refund my malfunctioning speaker. I chose to have it replaced, and they had Amazon ship me a new one. I had it in two days. A very unexpected, classy move, so I'm changing my rating from 2 to 5. To be clear: they did not ask me to change my rating or review, but I think it's deserved. Good sounding speaker, great price, uncommonly good customer service. Very portable and sounds great in a small to medium size room. Warm sound; not harsh or tinny. Sadly, after seven months of near daily use, the power button is failing. It takes 10 or 15 presses at times to turn on or off. I wouldn’t buy this speaker again. Even at its low price, it’s not a good value if it only lasts seven months.
Cathy and I love this speaker. It is compact for easy placement and excellent quality of sound, We Bluetooth it with our Alexa Dot and listen to music on our patio (60' away) while working outside or sitting around the gas fireplace. We cannot wait till we have friends over to impress them.
The speaker has excellent sound. It's amazing how much bass it has for such a small speaker. It connects easily with my phone and iPad. It also charges very quickly.
The quality of sound of this speaker has a similar quality of $40-50 speakers. The speaker itself is nice and compact and easily portable. One charge can easily last me an entire day of use. Downside if you can’t charge it and use an aux cable at the same time, a problem I don’t have with other speakers. It produces a static-y noise that won’t go away unless you stop charging it. Overall impression: good as a portable speaker, bad as a permanent speaker.
Great budget speaker with a decent amount of bass, clear sound, and a price tag that's a great deal. I bought this recently to replace my Bose Soundlink Color that was stolen. Truthfully, the Bose is more powerful and sounds better. That's to be expected; the Bose is $100 more than this speaker. Still, the sound isn't a lot worse and is very balanced and pleasant. Overall, I am very pleased with this product and can recommend without reservations. If anything changes, I will update this review.
We have used our XSound Go for about 9 months and love the sound, especially for its size. Recently while on vacation it suddenly started to have a rattle. I contacted the company via email and they immediately replaced the speaker, no questions asked. Even the best of the best companies have problems with their products from time to time but how the handle them is what's important. Today I got my new speaker in the mail and we are once again enjoying music with our friends. Thanks Tribit Audio.
update: Tribit was awesome for sending me a replacement. Happy about this purchase once again! Sound is warm and loud. Easy to use and waterproof ability is great. I connect it to my phone and Alexa and love it! It was good for a few months after that the bass kept reverberating even on low bass output. The sound is unbearable. Is there a fix? Too late to return to Amazon. Anyone have this issue?
I just got this speaker, so I can't speak to all of the features yet, but wanted to speak to the sound quality. I bought this speaker specifically because I saw it on a magazine review and it sounded like a great deal for the price point. I tested out the bass yesterday and it's fine - nothing better than I would expect for something this price. My biggest issue with the speaker right now is the volume. Even at the lowest volume setting, it's still pretty loud. Also, if you turn the volume down too much and it's silent, when you tap the + to increase the volume, it surges to very loud for a brief moment before adjusting to the correct volume. Since I bought this to use in my office at work, the volume issue is a pretty big factor for me, which is why I gave this only 3 stars. If I was using this for the beach or some other place of the like, I would have probably given it four stars.
Truly amazing sound. Full range and great bass. Instant pairing with Galaxy Note 8. So much superior to our other similar wireless speakers which now are destined to 'the box' of old electronics. Stop your research and just get this one. The best of the best!
I received the Tribit wireless ear buds as a gift and loved the sound. I'm a classically trained violinist and I am very picky about the quality of the sound. The XSound portable speaker sounds fantastic too. I use the speakers for portable music and it is loud and clear enough to listen to music while motoring out on a sailboat. The water-resistant feature was also important for the inadvertent splash. Can't beat it for the price too. It is small, but is rather heavy and dense which also helps keep it from getting tossed about as we tack or bounce along the waves. Battery life is good for a full day out on the water. Set up and connectivity is a snap.
I researched Bluetooth speakers before buying these and found all the reviews to be spot-on. Inexpensive, good quality sound, good battery life. The only issue was I could not get them to connect to my older Dell laptop. Tribit technical help was only available via emailing back and forth. That dude was less than helpful, told me to try some very basic basic trouble-shooting, then told me I needed a blue-tooth adapter or I could return the speaker. So I had my 20-year-old son (who is not a tech) look at it for me and he got it to connect. I cannot use my built-in laptop speakers without changing settings...but I'm happy my new Tribit works great. Except for "Bluetooth Connectivity" (2 stars mainly due to technical support) I give it five stars.
I ordered this speaker to be able to play my iTunes music from my phone. After reading reviews of several different bluetooth speakers, I opted for this one. Set up was simple and I love that I can set the speaker anywhere and control both changing songs AND the volume with my phone. My friend has the Bose which is alot more money, and honestly I don't hear much difference playing everything from Bach, meditation music to Nine Inch Nails - I'm really happy with this purchase. I can't attest to battery life as I just received it.
I'm very happy with this speaker. I was a little skeptical of the sound quality because it's so small. I'm no audiophile but I hate tinny sounding weak speakers with no bass and harsh sounding mid and treble. Amazingly this speaker has a full, balanced sound with bass that seems to defy the laws of physics. You have to hear it to believe it, but now I know why the reviews are so good. Connecting to my laptop or phone is easy. The signal is as good or better than my bluetooth headphones, so I can listen in another room in my (small) apartment with no breakup. Battery life is very good too, I've never run it until it died but the speaker lasted for a long 9 hour drive and seemed like it would keep going. The overall quality of the build is good, it's coated in a rubbery coating. The charge port and the line-in/aux port are covered with a flap that seals tightly when not in use. Tribit customer service was very responsive when I had some questions and concerns about the product. If you think you need firmware upgrade they will help you with that. I probably did not need it, but I did it anyway. So with the warranty and good customer service I know that if in the unlikely scenario I have a serious issue, I know they will take care of me. 5 stars, highly recommended. BTW, there is a coupon code so I got the speaker for <$30 - "BTS20BLK". No guarantee it will work for you, but worth a shot.
There is nothing about this speaker that I'm not impressed with. I bought this Tribit to replace my 2 year old $200 Bose that died a slow, painful death. WOW! What a great speaker! In the first place it has volume! My Bose did not. The bass is VERY good as are the mid & upper levels. I'm not picking up any distortion even at relatively high volume. I haven't tried it at full volume. That would just be too loud in my little condo. Sound quality is every bit as good as my Bose. I'm very pleased with this purchase & it's $170 cheaper than another Bose! Update 29 days later. Sadly, this wonderful speaker stopped connecting to bluetooth today. I'm returning it & am undecided re reordering this speaker or pushing my budget up a bit. 5/30/18 The seller immediately contacted me after my updated review & ty they were very helpful. They suggested I reboot the speaker by simultaneously pressing the up & down volume keys for a few seconds. Presto! It worked like a charm - until a couple of days ago. Now it pops off of bluetooth every 20 - 30 minutes or the sound alters from the deep, pleasing resonance I was so pleased with, to just transmitting the tinny sound my tablet or phone have without the speaker. It just makes it louder. I'll need to exchange this. I suspect I just got a lemon. That happens. 7/23/18 Again, I am delighted with this mega sound little speaker! And customer service is superb! 4/1/2019 This speaker pooped out entirely 4 months after my last update so I splurged & bought a SONY. That lasted 8 months but no longer can I charge it or even use it plugged in. SONY customer service was dreadful. I'm now saving to buy another Tribit. I'm convinced this particular unit was just a lemon. I'm going back to Tribit because of their penultimate customer service!
I bought this speaker to go with our Echo Dot because I had heard that the Dot speaker is nice, but not great. I couldn't be happier with that decision! The speaker on the Dot is ok, but it's not good enough to use when we have people over, while we're outside playing, or while we're swimming. This little speaker is AMAZING!!! It charges quickly, the charge lasts through all day use and it is LOUD! And loud in a good way! We listen to all types of music - rock, rap, r&b, country, pretty much anything - and the sound quality is spot on, no matter what type of music we're listening to! The other day I connected the speaker to my phone and played some music from the Amazon music app while we were in the pool. I left my phone on the porch, about 50-55 feet away, so it wouldn't get wet and had the speaker on a table right next to the pool. It never lost the signal from my phone and at about a little over half the volume it was loud enough to be heard over the kids (and I have a 3 year old and an 11 year old that don't believe in talking, they prefer yelling), the pool filter running and an attachment we have for the pool that turns the clean water from the filter into a fountain that gets pretty noisy. We were in the pool for about 2 hours and the speaker got pretty wet from all the splashing (though it never got totally soaked or submerged) and it's still working like it was brand new. What I was most concerned about was it's ability to survive being dropped or whacked against something pretty hard because my 3 year old can be brutal to toys, or pretty much anything she gets her hands on! So far, it's been dropped at least 3 times, knocked into the wall twice while she was holding it and dancing/spinning and sat on about 5 times because she always ends up leaving it on the couch or chair (both of which are dark brown) instead of a table and sure enough someone (including my 140lb self) ends up plopping down on it. No damage to the speaker AT ALL!!! For spending just under $30 I feel like we got more than our money's worth! If I do one day have an issue with the speaker, I'm fairly confident this seller's customer service would be more than helpful with resolving any problems. I say this because they reached out to me after I bought the speaker to thank me for my purchase and to provide their contact information should I have any questions, concerns, or issues. About a week after I received the speaker they touched base with me once more to thank me again for the purchase, to say they hoped that I was happy with the product and to let me know that they were always available to help in any way possible. Now I know that actions speak louder than words, but since I have been more than happy with this speaker I have had no reason to put their "always here to help" claim to the test. If I should ever have to contact customer service in the future, I will update my review. I apologize for the length of my review, but I'm just so happy with this little speaker! I usually don't leave reviews because most of what I purchase on Amazon turns out to be just what I expected, no more and no less. But I've been so impressed by this Tribit speaker that I felt I had to share my experience. I hope this is helpful to anyone trying to decide if they should click that purchase button on this item. If you do, I sincerely believe that you will not be disappointed!!! ?
I did a lot of searching for an affordable yet decent sounding portable speaker and Tribit has successfully delivered. This speaker is far better than some of the other affordable, high-ranking speakers on Amazon (like Oontz Angle, Anker Soundcore, Doss Touch). The sound is richer, deeper, and has good bass without sounding forced or over the top. It's even on par with some $50 or $60 speakers on Amazon. Top that off with the fact that it's waterproof, has an insane battery life and a long range, and you have an awesome product well worth the price. If you're comparing this to other speakers under $50, stop looking! This is definitely what you should get.
Just got this yesterday...and all I can say is WOW! I have been using a blue tooth speaker in my car for a couple years now, but the old speaker was dropping connectivity too regularly to suit me..so I decided it was time for a replacement. I expected speakers to have gone through improvements since my last purchase...and that is indeed the case here. The sound is great. The speaker is small but produces plenty of vlolume without compromising quality of sound. It is heavier than my previous speaker, but I like how it feels in my hand...easy to hold or carry. I can use it as it charges. I like how I can turn it off from the top of the speaker by pressing a button instead of flipping a switch in the back. I was also impressed by the email correspondence I received from the manufacturer, offering assistance prior to the arrival of my device should I need it. It was classy. The only negative I would say is that the charging cord it comes with is just a couple inches too short to reach the charging port in my car. Thanks to all the reviewers out there that helped me make this choice!
This speaker rocks!!!!!! It pairs in seconds & sounds great!!!!! It really helps me, because I'm losing hearing in one ear, but at the same time I'm also extremely sensitive to sound & this Tribit gives out such a rich sound, that it doesn't hurt my ear. I can now hear much better on my phone, etc. Love it!!!!!!!
Love it! Hard to believe the sound quality out of this little baby! I bought it to replace my UE Megaboom which died after 4 years. I have an email into UE and they insisted a representative would be in touch within 48 hours. That was 6 days ago but enough about that. The sound quality of the Tribit isn’t quite as good as my Megaboom but again, the Boom was $200. I would definitely recommend this little guy. You won’t be disappointed.
What most surprised me about the Tribit is that it sounds so loud without losing the quality as some other speakers do, and the great price. The only thing I noticed is that with some of my tablets you can bring the volume up with the speakers buttons and with the others you need to do it through the device volume it self; for me that's not such a big deal but I can see how other people might get annoyed with it. Other than that the set up and paring is super easy to do that even my mom that knows barely how to use a tablet could do it on her own. I bought it exclusively to use with my tablets but it will work as good with any other device that has Bluetooth or audio cable.
Works better than advertised! Bought this wireless speaker to use in the shower. Didn't expect much beyond it working in a wet environment. To my surprise, it actually sounds good. I can listen to the news or music while I am in there without a problem. It was also very easy to connect it to my echo device. All in all, a good purchase. If you are looking for a portable speaker I would suggest you choose this one.
Updated Review: Customer service from this company is exceptional. They reached out to me and provided a replacement quickly after an initial issue, and have kept in contact since to make sure all is well. - Volume The volume output with this speaker is quite impressive! It's a great speaker to use around the pool or other situation that you want to just sort of have a seat and enjoy music. - Quality The build quality is great - very solid feeling, good controls. - Sound Quality - Perhaps the weakest point of the system is the very, very low bass (think Sam Hunt on some of those low notes) they're tough to hit. But the vocals, the low-to-mid-range and all of that are crystal clear and well balanced. Very nice to listen to and really does an excellent job. I'd recommend this as a great portable speaker option where you don't want to be lugging around a substantial system and just want to relax and listen to music wherever you may be. -- Updated from: In my previous review I'd complained about the bass - the updated replacement unit had much improved low-end and I was also able to tune for additional solid lows.
Seems well made and is pretty loud. Good sound quality and long battery life. I also like that it has an audio jack on the back in case you want to attach a device that does not have bluetooth. I only have two issues with it. First the high end of the audio spectrum can be a bit overpowering to the point where it drowns out the lower end. At a distance it can sound a bit mono or tinny because of this depending on what kind of music you are listening to. My second is there is a slight delay to the speaker from the phone so if you want to use it to watch youtube or something on Netflix the lips on your screen do not match up with the sound coming out of the speaker, it's only like a half second delay but it's enough to be noticeable and annoying. I have other bluetooth audio devices and this speaker is the only one that does this so I know it's not an issue with my phone, and it does not do this when connected via the audio jack.
Tribit XSound Go Bluetooth Speaker is just the bomb. Even when blasting up the volume to full high there was no distortion. Tribit has excellent well rounded sound, amazing base and surprisingly pleasing clarity. I use Android, and I can even adjust the volume of the speaker on the phone or you can use them together for the ultimate portable speaker experience. Though small it is substantial, almost a pound in weight, and a fit-in-your-hand size. The sound outdoors covers my entire corner-lot huge backyard. The controls on the top are simple, raised rubber, easily pressed, and there are simply only 5 buttons. There are on/off and pairing tones. There is a DC and Aux plug with a rubber cover in the charger plate on the back. It has 4 little tiny rubber feet that will hold it in place even on a flat surface with an incline. If you would like, you could place a piece of velcro on the bottom. Pairing takes just a few seconds, and it paired immediately upon charging the first time. You can answer calls while the speaker is playing by pressing play, and there is a built in microphone that others tell me sounds great when I call them. The Tribit doubles as a speakerphone. How great is that? I easily charge it up in my car usb or with my computer, with the right cables, other charging options would be available. I've played sleep sounds all night long, and it stays charged! You can also keep it plugged in too while using. 24 hours of use is possible before this gem of a speaker needs a charge! It has a red light indicator when it is charging, when it is finished, the light goes off. The charging cord seems less than 2 feet so you may want to get a longer one, but I've not needed one at all. I think with a specific cable it could be connected to a non-bluetooth TV, PC. Connects to Alexa with the word Trib-bit. I have used it and paired it easily with Google Home Mini. I love that it is waterproof! Poolside, hottub, shower or beach...no worries. If you love listening to podcasts, or talk radio, this is the speaker you want! Voice clarity on this is stunning, and I can hear it throughout my house if I have to walk away for a moment! As long as you have the speaker paired, you should expect that it would work with any app that has sound on your phone. There is a wrist strap connected to one end of the speaker for carrying, hanging. I purchased the gray Aenllosi Hard Shell Case light weight case to go with my black Tribit. When the battery is low, it announces in a realistic male voice that "Battery is Low" When it is charging at the same time as on, the indicator light is a combination of red and blue, so you can easily know it is plugged in and on. When it is fully charged, the charge indicator light turns off. I hope that this review helps someone on the fence to just get this jewel of a speaker!
I was pretty content with the speaker but now about 4 months in something has gone seriously wrong, base notes sounds like static ‘buzziness’ in songs. I am not one to crank up the volume and am conscious about never setting a speaker to max volume to I am not sure what happened to it. It sat on the bathroom counter or night stand so it’s not like it had a hard life. In short, save your money this one doesn’t last very long. Have an Archeer A106 (I think) that I’ve had at least 3 times as long that travels in my suite case so it has had a hard life but battery is amazing at it still sounds great, would suggest something like instead. Update: I have to commend them for very responsive and good customer service. Though I may have gotten a bad one out of the lot they handled the issue very well and quickly. Worth a few more stars in my eyes for that.
The sound and longevity of this speaker is absolutely phenomenal for the price (very nice deep bass and good volume capability). Two reasons for not getting the 5th star from me: No way to know remaining battery level (would be nice to have an app for that!) and, unlike many other wireless speakers, it does not automatically connect to Alexa (you have to say "Alexa, connect to my speaker" every time you want to connect. Definitely not deal-breakers, but little annoyances... Also, I am seeing conflicting reports on usability with "Alexa" Echo Dot. It took me several minutes of frustration but I finally found that opening the Amazon Alexa app on my phone provided a menu option to add Tribit XSound speaker (while in paring mode) and pair it to Alexa; once paired, you must state the command "Alexa, connect" (and you must repeat that every time you want to connect, my Sony wireless speaker auto-connects when you turn it on within range of Alexa, this one requires the command each time).
I liked the overall sound quality but it was a "no go" due to bass distortion. I like mid 20th century jazz but the McCoy Tyner Trio's "Groove Waltz" started with the first bass note distorting on the track. I did not notice the problem earlier but this example isolated it as repetitive and a perfect example of the problem. It distorted at low or moderate volume. I never got to try anything loud as it was only the third track I played before deciding to return it. My music source was Google Music and I use it all the time in my car, etc. with decent sound quality if not audiophile.. I received a replacement and it also had some distortion on the same sound track as the original. After some extended listening I concluded that the distortion was a rare occurrence and did not occur on the vast majority of music that I listen to. I decided to give the speaker four stars instead of three ( my original rating was one star) because it is very portable and tiny and yet produces a sound that is far better than one would expect from a speaker this size. It is a good replacement for my phone and laptop speakers as it is so tiny it can fit in a pocket and sounds better than either as well!
I love this thing. It always connects, and I shift from using it on my phone and on my computer and never have a problem connecting it to what I want it to pair with. The way the sound volume works can be a little different depending on the app I'm using to play music or movies, but it is always clear and plenty loud no matter the slight settings difference between, say, youtube and VLC media player on my compter, or VLC from my phone. It has AMAZING sound quality for such a little guy, and the sound I can get when I use equalizer functions is mind-blowingly good for a wireless speaker of this size and price. The battery lasts a really long time (like so long that I'm not even sure how long, lol), and I haven't noticed any loss of play time yet, even though I've had it almost a year. I love this thing and use it every. single. day. I moved out of a house with a TV and a really good soundbar, and I don't have TV at all now, but when I stream on my computer and use this as the soundbar, I am totally satisfied with the sound quality. The build is very sturdy overall and has taken well to my daily prolonged use. The only thing I had a problem with is that the charging port came loose on me, and I was so, so sad that it was getting really hard to get it to take a charge because it just wasn't making good contact any more. But guess what? Awesome customer service, that's what! When it's time to upgrade or I need a new pair of headphones, or I need any kind of wireless speaker at all, I'm buying from Tribit again because they totally stand behind their product. So, hello Tribit, here's what I want in the next model: how about wireless charging for people like me who charge & use their Tribit daily? No port to come loose!
Great product! Best thing I’ve bought for my 60lb black lab to date. You must understand BEFORE using an e-collar that: 1. These do not “shock” your dog. It provides a stimulation very comparable to those muscle stimulators sports athletes and physical therapists use. It’s very uncomfortable, but does not hurt. 2. The collar is to be used as a CORRECTION, not a punishment. The dog needs to get the idea that you’re trying to help him/her make the correct choice. When you point left, he goes right, you nick him, he goes right and magically finds a bird! He’ll get the idea it’s helping. I did give this product 4/5 stars because mine won’t change from 2 dog mode to stay in 1 dog mode. Not an issue as I’ll soon be using it for two dogs and it works just fine for one dog (even in 2D mode) but it’s just annoying. Great product! Highly recommended.
This collar changed our training and our Labrador's life. We have had this for close to three months now. Commands that we had already trained him on were instantly reinforced. This goes from 0 to 100. His regular level is around 11-13. I have a boost set around 36 and we only use that if he is out of earshot and is so interested in something that he isn't responding. We have land we are about to build on and I didn't want to make him be on leash all the time, but i didn't trust that he wouldn't wander off exploring. When we first got this he went "rabbit" on me and was after something. I hit the boost and it stopped him in his tracks. He responds so well and i am so confident that he will listen to our commands that he is rarely on leash and loves to go with us about everywhere in the car. For anyone that thinks that this is cruel please think twice. Our lab loves his e-collar. When i pick it up he comes to me immediately. This has worked so well that today i was using it and he was responding but what i didn't realize is that i had never turned his collar on. He has gotten this collar muddy, wet, and it has never skipped a beat. I can press the vibrate button when he is in another room of the house and he will come. It's just great and I couldn't recommend it more.
This works wonders. We sent one of our dogs to training from an instructor who used this collar. We loved the results so much we’ve started using it with our other dog. They’re really great! I have zapped myself at the highest mode it’s not something painful it’s just something that gets your attention. Almost like a tens unit if you’ve ever used one. The number your dog uses depends on your dog. One of our dogs respons to a 3 the other dog is a 18. When I tried it out to make sure it wasn’t painful I couldn’t feel anything until 14 on my wrist. Highly recommend training prior to the collar it makes a big difference in how the dog feels about the collar. Both of our dogs get excited when we grab them because they know we’re going somewhere fun.
What a big difference! I made my dog suffer unnecessarily by using a cheaper dog trading e collar. My dog is almost 2 years old now, and I am having to almost start from square 1 with her training. Today Marks day 1 of using the mini educator and wow! I am impressed. I can finally dial in the intensity level to a point where my dog doesnt get confuse by having too much intensity, or by timing of correction being off. I am glad I decided to give the mini educator a try. I owe it to my family and my dog. Now I know I have the adequate tool to get my dog on track with her training and help her develop her full potential. The mini educator is loaded with very nice features, and I love the fact that no matter when I click a button, the communication between transmitter and receiver is reliable! No more unnecessary suffering and confusion for my dog, and no more frustration for me. My dog is a 100 pounds cane corso, and I work with her at level 12, where she hardly feels a tiny sensation to help her concentrate on the task on hand. The build quality of the mini educator is definitely professional grade, and the features and functionality are superior!. The layout of the remote or transmitter, are very intuitive and easy to use. This manufacture has definitely spent alot of time designing this equipment. A+ product guys! Save yourself and your dog all the headaches, pain, and frustration associated with cheaper and inferior products.
I have trained my dog with only other AKC approved methods. Though this is not AKC approved, I found it the best option to teach my dog to walk next to me without a leash. While this does send little electric currents, it is not a classic shock collar. I first tested it on myself as I was Noy going to give my dog a shock that I wouldn’t be able to tolerate myself first. The adjustable shock strength makes this completely human and probably more comfortable than even getting tugged by the collar on a leash. After about 5 days of taking about ten minute walks with just the collar, my dog is doing great. This evening I turned a corner with her and there were two raccoons climbing a fence in front of us. I told her to wait. We stood and watched thenm. Then I turned back to leave and walk away And my dog followed right behind me. At this point, when I ask her if she wants to take a walk, she runs over to the ecollar to have put on. It can’t be all that bad if she is that excited to get it on to go for a walk. This last walk I probably gave her only one quick tap when she started to get distracted. The rest of the 10 minutes was perfect.
This changed our lives. Our dog who is a boxer pitiful mix was very hyper and just all over the place. Our neighbors all have tamed, well behaved dogs who walk around their yards without a leash. Before this e-collar we couldn't even open the door without our dog running out. My husband spent hours watching videos on how to properly use the e-collar (highly recommended). The importance is consistency and establishing commands. Less than a week after training our dog, he is just like our neighbors dogs and can roam the yard freely.
I bought this for my 1 year old 130lb great dane. Who was getting a bit testing with her role in the house and her boundaries. I was a little worried that it wouldn't be powerful enough to get her attention but I quickly learned it didn't take much. The collar has power levels up to 99 I believe but I've never gone above 25 and it stays locked in at 15. Most of the time just the tone is enough to get her attention and correct her actions. We have been using it for around 4 months now and it has been a great tool in her teaching. One tip I can offer is when you use the collar don't let the dog see the controller in your hand. They will learn quickly they can get away with something if you don't have it with you. There are plenty of coaching videos for proper usage and training for dogs of all sizes and temperaments. I highly recommend this ecollar for any dog out there.
This is our second time we purchased this exact same collar. We now have two rescue dogs where we feel we have a need to use this tool. We send our number two rescue dog to school and he is in Level 2 now. His training does not involve the shock collar. It is all positive based reinforcement. We call this our dog’s “ Freedom Collar”. We only use it when we go to the park and there is a good chance our dog might run off. I have read horror stories about dogs who chased something into the woods and not located for days nearly dead. The long lead got stuck on a shrub or debris and the dog is not able to free themselves. My new dog is a runner. He has already run off. This shock collar is used in a park setting so I can let him off leash and we can practice his training. If he tries to run away, this brings him back quickly. I only have the setting on 15 with a boost of 10. The vibration without shock is usually enough though. We hired a trainer to come to our home and had 6 sessions to teach us how to properly use this tool. Beware, this tool can EASILY BE MISUSED! It should never be used for basic commands. That was emphasized by the trainer. For most things, it needs to be positive reinforcement. if you aren’t sure how to do that, I would strongly suggest you sign u for a class that teaches that BEFORE you ever consider using a shock collar.
I was scared to death about using an e-collars because I have worked with dogs that had been abused and damaged by then. Then I met Ziggy . Sweet & smart poodle/ spaniel cross that refused to respond to the come command , no matter how much I used positive methods . First I used it on myself and then Ziggy learned the lowest level (8) that got his attention. Once Ziggy got it , he became a joy to be around . The Educator is a quality product that when used correctly , really works !

I received the product today and it seems to be in working order. After testing the "stimulation" out on my-self on the highest setting, I would believe that it would stop my 95 lbs dog from doing something stupid, like chasing a car. The product seems to be sturdy and well built. However, for how much money you spend on this product it should come with the 3/8 ths contact points used for very short-haired dogs, which it does not. You have to buy them, after purchasing this, for around $10 extra. I find it incredibly irritating that even the poorly-made, cheap training collars come with contact points for very short-haired dogs, but this one does not. I might have missed some disclaimer in the description stating I would have to buy the 3/8 ths contact points in addition to this, but considering how many people have dogs with very short hair and the cost of the unit, it seems this accessory should be included.
This is a must for dog training. It does not hurt it vibrates. Great tool
