Easton town has started its first LED street
Light conversion project, part of five projects
By the fiscal year 2014, energy consumption will decrease by 20%.
The initiative, funded by green community grants, will replace 142 high
Pressure Sodium street lamps with considerable energy-
Efficient LED bulb.

The maintenance contractor has installed new street lights in the center, warehouse and Elm Street.
In January, the town purchased 1,450 street lamps from the State Grid, and after replacing the bulbs with more efficient street lamps, it is expected to save at least $11,000 a year.
