How much electricity can LED street lights save compared to traditional high-pressure sodium lamps?

LED street lights can save 50%-70% energy compared to high-pressure sodium lamps. Taking a 150W LED street light replacing a 250W sodium lamp as an example, working 10 hours a day, the annual electricity saving is about 365 kWh (calculated at $0.15/kWh, saving $55 per year). The luminous efficiency of LED is 130-160lm/W (sodium lamps are only 50-100lm/W), and the directional luminous characteristics reduce light waste. The actual energy saving effect needs to be calculated in combination with local electricity prices and lighting time.

Can it be used in an extremely cold environment of minus 30℃?

Yes. We use a dedicated low-temperature driver (operating temperature -40℃~+60℃), and the LED chip passes the -35℃ cold start test. The aluminum substrate is coated with a low-temperature anti-cracking coating, and the outer shell is made of cold-resistant PC material (brittle temperature -60℃). It is recommended to select the heating and snow removal function in extremely cold areas, and ensure that the snow load in the power supply compartment is ≤15cm to avoid snow accumulation affecting heat dissipation.
