What's customized dimming profile?

The so-called dimming profile refers to a specific timer dimming function. Rural roads and urban roads have different needs for dimming configurations. At the same time, the timer dimming function of lamps can be customized. For example, rural roads usually have fewer people after 10 p.m., and the dimming curve can be maintained at 100% brightness from 18:00 to 22:00, and adjusted to 50% brightness from 22:00 to 06:00; while the situation on urban roads may require delaying the time by 1-2 hours. The dimming curve can be set to maintain 100% brightness from 18:00 to 24:00, and adjust to 50% brightness from 24:00 to 06:00. Dali +timer dimming or 0-10V+timer dimming?

Dimming profile uses the dimming function of the lamp. For example, if 0-10V + timer dimming is used, after setting the timer dimming of the lamp, the controller sends a 0-10V dimming signal to the power supply of the lamp, but the power supply will not perform the dimming operation. And if your lamp is configured with Dali + timer dimming, then after setting the timer dimming, the controller sends a Dali dimming signal to the power supply of the lamp, and the power supply can still execute the instructions of the Dali signal. However, it should be noted that the cost of lamps in the latter is often much higher than that in the former. If your budget is limited, it is recommended to choose the former; if your budget is sufficient, it is best to choose the latter.

Which power supplies can be configured with timer dimming function?

Power supply manufacturers such as Inventronics, Osram, Philips, Done, and Meanwell all provide scheduled dimming functions. CHZ recommends using the timed dimming function of Inventronics, because Inventronics is comparable to Philips and Osram in terms of dimming and product quality, and the price is more affordable. If your budget is limited, Dong’s power supply is also a good choice.

What is the EEA rating and how does it affect installation?

The EEA energy performance rating benchmarks the fixture’s luminous efficacy (lm/W), power draw, heat emission, and hazardous material compliance (RoHS aligned with EPA toxic substance rules). It classifies luminaires into Tier 1 (highest efficiency) to Tier 3 entry-level efficiency grades. EEA thermal rating also defines the fixture’s maximum allowable operating ambient temperature range.

Can it meet EN 12193 standards for broadcast TV?

Conforms to the full EN 12193 classification system (Class I–IV for sports lighting): meets vertical illuminance thresholds for television broadcasting, flicker index limits, chromatic stability, and cross-border EU venue certification standards.

Will the lights flicker during slow-motion video replay?

The fixture uses constant-current low-ripple LED drivers with high CRI 5700K neutral white dedicated broadcast chips; eliminates uneven color shifting across camera frames, fully suitable for slow-motion replay, live streaming, and international sports event TV coverage.
