Frequently Asked Questions

How can I tell if an IP rating is genuine or fake?

Approximately 60% of LED floodlights on the market claiming IP65 ratings actually fail to meet the standard. Here's how to identify them:

First:

Are there silicone seals on the fixture seams?

Are there waterproof washers in the screw holes?

Is the vent valve a labyrinthine structure?

Second:

Dust test: Open the cover and inspect after 24 hours of operation in a dusty environment.

Water spray test: Use a fire hose at a distance of 1 meter for 10 minutes.

Third:

Request a third-party test report.

Verify the report number's authenticity.

Check the testing standards and laboratory qualifications. All of our LED outdoor lighting products come with an IP rating test report (CHZ-certified waterproof luminaires).

Why do LED floodlights require a constant current driver?

The constant current driver is the heart of the LED lighting system, and its importance lies in:

Voltage fluctuation protection: Maintains constant output current when the grid voltage fluctuates between 180V and 265V (wide-voltage LED driver);

Extended lifespan: Prevents current surges from causing LED chip degradation;

Stable luminous efficacy: Prevents brightness flickering due to voltage fluctuations. Our engineering-grade floodlights feature:

Multi-level protection circuits (overvoltage, overcurrent, short circuit, and lightning strike);

Automatic temperature compensation;

Over 95% conversion efficiency. The driver comes with a 5-year warranty, an MTBF >50,000 hours, and is UL/cUL certified. An optional intelligent driver is available, enabling 0-10V/PWM/DALI dimming.

Why does the brightness of some LED floodlights decrease significantly after a few years?

LED light decay is primarily caused by three factors:

Poor heat dissipation: For every 10°C increase in junction temperature, LED lifespan is halved.

Poor driver quality: Current fluctuations accelerate chip aging.

Material defects: Low-quality phosphors and encapsulants.

Our anti-light decay solution includes:

Cooling system: A lamp with excellent heat dissipation, a maximum heat sink temperature not exceeding 65°C, a 2mm-thick high-thermal-conductivity aluminum substrate, a vacuum-coated heat dissipation coating, and a temperature monitoring chip.

Optoelectronic materials: Imported Nichia phosphors and high-thermal-conductivity thermal adhesive.

Warranty:

L70 > 50,000 hours (maintains 70% of initial brightness after 50,000 hours).

It is recommended to perform a professional light decay test (LED light decay detection) every two years.
