On December 25, 2023, I arrived in Ouagadougou, the capital of Burkina Faso. This is my third time setting foot in this landlocked country in West Africa. Our company has been developing the West African market over the years. West Africa has vast land, suitable climate and rich natural resources. The West African market is a key market that our company has developed in recent years.Burkina Faso is a landlocked country located on the upper reaches of the Volta River in western Africa, with a land area of 274,200 square kilometers. It borders Benin and Niger to the east, Côte d'Ivoire, Ghana, and Togo to the south, and Mali to the west and north. Burkina Faso is an ancient civilization in West Africa with about 60 different tribes in its territory. "Burkina Faso" means "the country of honorable men", a combination of burkina (meaning "honest man") in Mosi language, the main local language, and faso (meaning "country") in Bambara.Burkina Faso is one of the least developed countries in the world and a major exporter of migrant workers to neighboring African countries. Economically, the country was founded on agriculture and animal husbandry, accounting for nearly 80% of the country's labor force. The country is short of resources and is located on the edge of a desert with less arable land. The only railway in the country runs from the capital Ouagadougou to Côte d'Ivoire. Burkina Faso's GDP in 2023 is US$23.3 billion, and its per capita GDP is US$832.9, ranking fifteenth from the bottom in the world.In recent years, our company has won many projects in the Burkina Faso market, from the previous LED lamp tubes to the current LED street lights. The brand awareness of CHZ LIGHTING has been continuously increasing, thanks to the full cooperation with local partners. This time, at the kind invitation of the client, I flew from Lagos, Nigeria to Ouagadougou to celebrate Christmas and New Year with their families.Driven by the customer, I visited the local application project of our street lights. In the past few days, the journey from Ouagadougou to Bobo-Dioulasso, the second largest city, was very hard. The country is on the edge of the Sahara Desert, with barren and arid land and low crop yields. In addition, it is a landlocked country with no ports and relatively backward transportation. Except for some gold mines in natural resources (it is the fourth largest gold mining country on the African continent), other important materials rely heavily on imports.These are the solar lighting and mains lighting projects we have been engaged in, in the past few years.These were project sites shot at night. Our products saved the local area a lot of electricity bills and also resulted in better lighting effects. Local people, as well as government customers, are very satisfied with the quality of these lights.This country is building a major project, Sishan International Airport (Sishan), hoping to develop it into an important air transportation hub in West Africa. The project is generally contracted by a Chinese construction company, and the government borrowed money from China to build the project. The customer brought I went to the project site for inspection and visited the project leader, and we had an in-depth communication on the next step of cooperation.However, since the 2020 epidemic, the economies of various countries have been affected to varying degrees, especially African countries, which have been hit hard. Western countries have also significantly reduced their economic assistance to Burkina Faso, leading to a serious economic deterioration. Later, due to the impact of the Russo-Ukrainian war, the prices of grain and fertilizers rose sharply. The state's investment in the economy was seriously insufficient, and the economy and people's lives were severely difficult. Many government agencies also experienced serious problems due to lack of funds.For many of the projects our clients do locally, they don’t get paid a penny for years after the project is completed. Many construction companies have been dragged down by government projects. My client also has a printing industry in the local area. His factory provides newspapers, periodicals and books to the government and schools. However, it has been moribundly delayed by government debts over the years. The newly put into production factory has been delayed again and again due to a serious lack of funds. It's been three years and it still hasn't been completed. Of course, it has also had an indirect impact on us. Due to payment problems, customers are required to receive full payment before they dare to ship goods.Here, I hope that this country can formulate far-sighted economic policies, introduce a large amount of foreign investment and talents, encourage and support the development of industry and commerce, so that the national economy can return to normal as soon as possible, and the people can live a stable and prosperous life. We also hope to apply our energy-saving lighting products to more cities and make more contributions to the country's economic construction.

On the morning of April 15th, our company participated in the "4·15" Love Action Day event organized by the Jiading District Private Enterprise Association. The event was held at No. 737 Guyiyuan Road, Nanxiang Town. At the beginning of the event, there were many convenience maintenance stalls lined up for the residents. Volunteers provided haircuts, knife sharpening, key matching... a total of eight services for the residents. On-site medical staff carefully guide people with limited mobility to undergo examinations, and provide convenient and fast diagnosis and treatment services such as blood pressure measurement, oral examination, and massage. In response to the residents' health problems, the medical staff patiently answered the questions and popularized some common disease prevention and health care knowledge to the residents.In addition, representatives from functional departments such as the Judicial Office, the Fire Station, and the Nanxiang Town Market Supervision and Management Office set up consultation services on site to answer questions and provide policy assistance to residents on site.In addition to our company, this event also invited Chuansong Flower House, Intangible Cultural Heritage Nanxiang small Steamed-bun, Shanghai Little-Sheep Company, Yundian Village Agricultural Technology Company and other units. Through the charity sale units, we also brought rich and affordable products For residents to choose from. In particular, our company sells the latest energy-saving light bulbs to the public for charity, attracting many uncles and aunts to come and answer questions about LED lighting and explain the correct usage. Sarajevo is the capital and economic and cultural center of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The screening of the former Yugoslav film "Walter Defends Sarajevo" in China made the city a household name in China; Sarajevo became famous around the world due to the outbreak of World War I and the contemporary Bosnian War.The whole city of Sarajevo has a long and narrow shape running from east to west, with rolling hills to the north and south. From east to west, it is like a ribbon hanging in the east of the source of the picturesque Bosnian River in the Balkan Peninsula, surrounded by green mountains. Sarajevo has a pleasant climate, with rainy summers and snowy winters, making it a good place for tourism and vacation.The city of Sarajevo is divided into 4 administrative districts: Old Town, Central Town, New Town, and New Sarajevo. The commercial street in the old city is unique and has a history of more than 500 years. It was built during the Ottoman Empire. The stone-paved old street has buildings on both sides showing Bosnian ethnic customs and Turkish style. Rows of handicraft shops are scattered in an orderly manner, mixed with cafes, barbecue restaurants and mosques.Most of the central urban areas are classical buildings from the Austro-Hungarian Empire era. Catholic churches, Orthodox churches and Islamic mosque towers with numerous spiers are harmoniously distributed in the city. The strong Islamic atmosphere formed after the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina sometimes makes you feel like you are in the Arab world of the Middle East. This unique style is obviously very different from other traditional cities in Europe. Therefore, Sarajevo is now known as the Jerusalem of Europe.The new city was built in the 1970s and 1980s. It has modern buildings and residential areas with an oriental style. A wide street, Bosnia Avenue, runs through the city. The clear blue Bosnia River tributary Miliyac River meanders from west to east, flanked by undulating hills. There are many residential houses built in rows, and the white houses and red tiles are particularly distinctive among the lush greenery. At night, when you climb high and look into the distance, you will see thousands of lights and starry lights, and the scenery is spectacular.Our company has started to develop business in the European Balkans since 2022. Although it is relatively late, it has developed rapidly, especially in the country of Bosnia and Herzegovina, where we have met a good partner. Since the cooperation, many road and tunnel lighting projects have been completed. I moved to Bosnia and Herzegovina from Spain and planned an exploratory trip to this historic ancient city.First of all, the customer took me to visit some of the lighting projects we participated in. The following is the road lighting of the winding mountain highway. The hotel I stayed in was on the mountainside.We then walked along Bosnia Avenue, which runs through the city, and looked at the road lighting retrofit projects we were working on. This street lamp is installed on a 12-meter light pole. We used a 100W street lamp with a light efficiency of 160LM/W to transform the previous traditional street lamp, which was enough to save 50% of the electric energy and achieve sufficient brightness. This makes government customers very happy. And 2 years after installation, all the lights are working normally and shining as well as ever.After that, I came to the famous Latin Bridge. The old name of Latin Bridge was Princip Bridge. This bridge was the scene of the Sarajevo Incident in which Archduke Franz Ferdinand and his wife, the heirs to the throne of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, were murdered by Gavrilo Princip. The bridge used to be a wooden bridge, which was damaged in floods and rebuilt in 1798. In 1914, on the north side of the bridge, the Grand Duke and his wife were assassinated, triggering the First World War. The bridge was renamed Princip Bridge in honor of Yugoslav patriotism, but after the disintegration of Yugoslavia its name reverted to Latin Bridge. This bridge became famous because of the First World War and attracted a large number of tourists to check in.Then, at night we visited the night market in the old town. The handicrafts here have hundreds of years of tradition, ranging from Turkish coffee sets, carved and hewn copper vases, various pots and jars, disc art to handmade wooden cigarette cases and jewelry. From decorative paintings showing the style of the old town of Sarajevo, various styles of gold and silver jewelry to handicrafts made from shell shells left over from the Bosnia-Herzegovina War, there is a dazzling array of things to see.Small commodity streetThe owner of an Islamic craft storeTowering islamic churchAlthough this is Europe, Islamic churches can be seen everywhere, and it feels like being in the Middle East. The difference is that most of the white Muslims here wear suits when working and are traditional Europeans; however, most of them regularly kneel on the ground to pray and recite words. Here, Catholicism, Orthodoxy, and Islam, despite some previous conflicts, have lived in peace for the most part. No wonder this place is called the "Jerusalem" of Europe.Bosnia and Herzegovina is a hot land in the Balkans of Eastern Europe, and Sarajevo is a pearl of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Now more and more Chinese are beginning to travel to this country and start businesses, mostly from Zhejiang and Fujian. The people here are very friendly to the Chinese and hope to develop more economic and trade cooperation with China. I hope we can win more engineering projects here in the future, so that CHZ LIGHTING can emit more magical light in this magical land and contribute more to the construction of a new Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Every December, I take a trip to Spain to visit our Spanish colleagues. In December 2023, colleagues from Argentina happened to come over, and everyone was gathered together, so happy.Bilbao is located at the mouth of the Narvin River on the northern coast of Spain, on the southeast side of the Bay of Biscay, 12 kilometers away from the Bay of Biscay. It is one of the largest ports in Spain. The Névillon River runs through the center of the city, dividing the city into traditional and modern parts. The eastern area is the Old Town (Casco Viejo), where there are countless exquisite bars, small hotels and famous landmarks, such as the San Antòn Cathedral, the Gothic Cathedral and the famous Mercado de la Ribera old market. On the other side of the river are numerous modern buildings.Over the years, with the rapid development of relations between China and Spain, friendly relations have developed between Spain and many cities in China. For example, on February 23, 1995, Bilbao officially signed a friendly exchange and cooperation agreement with Tianjin, China. Bilbao, like the famous Biscay Bridge, has become a bridge of friendship and trade between the Chinese and Spanish peoples.This time our Spanish company has completed the lighting renovation project of the Workers Club Football Stadium in MUNGIA, Bilbao. The stadium is often used as an amateur training and competition venue for local workers, and also serves as a training venue for the second-tier players of Athletic Bilbao. Due to many years of operation, many lights are broken and cannot meet modern football lighting standards. Because after careful consideration and selection, the owner handed over the lighting renovation project of the stadium to CHZ LIGHTING Spanish company.After detailed on-site analysis and calculations, the project adopted CHZ-FL32-500W stadium lights. The quality of the lights is very good. It has passed TUV Süd's ENEC, CE, CB quality certification, and passed IP66 and IK09 tests. It has been successfully used. It has achieved good lighting effects in many stadiums and ports. After nearly half a month of intense construction, the stadium lights were installed in place.
